About Elohim Christian Counseling:

Elohim Christian Counseling was developed in order to bring repentance, forgiveness and a peaceable state of mind back to every individual across every culture and boarder “for God has NOT given us a spirit of fear: but of POWER, and of LOVE and of a SOUND MIND” 2 Tim 1:7.

"Elohim" which is the Hebrew word for God was used in order to remind us that it is only God who can bring ultimate healing, it is only God who can renew your mind and God is the creator of all things. God is the great "I AM" the Alpha and the Omega the beginning and the end.

He is God the Father, God the Son, Jesus Christ, and God the Holy Spirit, Who Was and Who Is and Who is to Come. Amen.

Abigail Loubser is a Specialist Wellness Counsellor registered with the Association for Supportive Counsellors and Holistic Practitioners (ASCHP). 

She completed her BA undergraduate degree through Unisa (The University of South Africa), majoring in Psychology and Criminology. She later went on to complete her Honors Degree in Applied Psychology through Unisa in 2016 with distinction in research psychology and cognition. 

 
She furthered her scope of practice through completing a certificate course in human resource management through the University of Witwatersrand as well as a diploma in Pastoral Care and Counselling through the University of Pretoria with overall distinction.

Abigail has worked as a counsellor in a suicide crisis center in Johannesburg for over three years, conducting trauma debrief and containment as well as presenting teen suicide talks at local schools as well as wellness days at various corporations. 

She further went on to work at Steve Biko Academic hospital, counselling in areas of trauma and pastoral care, which then led her to open her own practice in 2019. 

Abigail has experienced personal struggles relating to silent abuse within the family, divorce, family addictions and secondary trauma associated with a crime.

Abigail will use counseling techniques that are based on the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and which incorporate both strength-based interventions and narrative therapy whereby the counsellor will focus on a hopeful future for the client. 

She bases her counseling on the Gospel of Jesus Christ Who has reminded us all that nothing is ever too broken that it cannot be fixed, healed and forgiven “for we know that all things work together for good to them that love God” Romans 8:28. 

She will utilize Biblically sound doctrine as well as incorporate your strengths and current life narrative to conduct helpful intervention strategies.
